AMD Am286ZX/Am286LX PC-AT motherboard on a chip

Am286ZX/LX is a family of highly integrated x86-compatible microprocessors based on AMD 80C286 CPU core. The CPU has all of features of 80286 processor, including all 286 registers, instructions and addressing modes, real and protected modes, and support for external 80C287 Floating-Point Unit. In addition to the CPU core, Am286ZX/LX devices integrate all PC-AT motherboard logic on a chip: bus controller, DRAM controller, DMA and interrupt controllers, real time clock with CMOS static RAM, and other peripherals. Am286LX supports two low-power modes that can reduce power consumption by stopping CPU or system activity. The Am286LX also supports slow-refresh DRAM modules.
